We are open  every Saturday, May through October from 10 a.m. to 3 pm.

On the 4th Sunday of every month (1-4 pm) we feature a local farm family.  They share with visitors their experiences of life on a Maryland dairy farm.

There are lots of things to see and do at the MOO!!!

The Barn is OPEN for the season now - and we're looking forward to showing visitors new exhibits - including introducing you to the newest of our cattle models - a baby Holstein calf!   Learn more about the six major milking breeds - and how milk gets from MOO to you...

Share your dairy farm story!  See "See & Do", fill in and submit the webform so we can include your family farm in our archives & on the Dairy Map. Although Montgomery County is our main focus, any farm in the Maryland-Virginia Milk Producing Region can be included in the collection of our new Dairy Research Library.

School & Scout groups - May is looking very busy, but dates are still available in June ane throughout the year.  Teachers - consider bringing your classes to the MOO in the autumn - a good way to start the school year!*

With activities for the young - and young at heart - we look forward to welcoming you to the MOO.

*Contact the MOOseum ( for information about group tours, joining our mailing list, and activity days.

In June we'll be part of Montgomery County's Heritage Weekend, in July the County-wide Farm Tour, and in August we hope to have a presence at the Montgomery County Fair.   Watch this page for more information about our activities...
